Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how GLT Solutions and Ethical Advertising (the “Operators”) use cookies and similar technologies on the Heal Festival WiFi guest network purchase site, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owners. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others help improve your experience.

This site also uses similar technologies such as local storage, which works in a comparable way but stores data directly in your browser. References to “cookies” in this policy cover these technologies too.

2. Cookies we use

We keep cookie use to the strict minimum needed to operate the pass purchase and activation flow. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building a profile of your behaviour.

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off:

  • Stripe session cookies — set by Stripe during the checkout process to secure your payment. Without them, the checkout cannot complete.
  • Session / preference storage — holds your pass selection and basket in your browser while you shop, so it survives a page refresh. Cleared when you complete checkout.
  • Authentication cookies — set only if you sign in to the crew console at /auth. Guests never need an account and never receive these cookies.
  • Security tokens — a short-lived token used to protect the pass-lookup form from automated abuse. Expires automatically.

Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics cookies on the guest purchase flow. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by PECR, seek your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

Advertising

This site does not use advertising cookies, advertising partners, or third-party advertising networks. We do not share cookie data with advertising platforms for targeted advertising.

3. Third-party cookies

The only third party that may set cookies during your visit is Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe sets strictly necessary session cookies to protect your payment. Stripe operates under its own cookie and privacy policies, which you can review on the Stripe website. The Operators do not control Stripe’s cookies.

No other third parties set cookies on this site.

4. How long cookies stay on your device

  • Session cookies (Stripe, basket, security) are deleted from your device as soon as you close your browser.
  • Authentication cookies for the crew console persist only for as long as you remain signed in, and are removed when you sign out or close your browser.
  • We do not set any persistent cookies that remain on your device after you close your browser.

5. Managing and deleting cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, you do not need to take any action to accept them. However, you can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

  • Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
  • Safari (iOS) — Settings › Safari › Advanced › Block All Cookies.
  • Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
  • Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as Stripe’s payment session cookies) will prevent you from completing a purchase. If you prefer not to accept any cookies, you may still browse the pass information, but checkout will not be available.

6. Do Not Track

We do not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals because we do not use tracking cookies that would be affected by them. Our use of cookies is limited to what is strictly necessary to operate the service.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Where any change introduces non-essential cookies, we will seek your consent before setting them, as required by PECR.
